The next and final "Bridge" meeting for parents / guardians of children preparing for First Holy Communion will take place on

Friday 29thApril at 7.30pm in the Church of the Assumption, Magherafelt.

The Bridge is a new programme designed to help parents and families to explore and articulate their own faith, and to be more confident and involved in their child’s faith formation both during the preparation for First Holy Communion and beyond.

It does this by offering a series of six sessions for parents, each of which focuses on different ways they can share faith with their families.

Topics covered in the Faith Sessions are:

 - Ten Ways to Help Your Family to Grow in Faith

 - Making Mass Meaningful for You and Your Child

 - Bible Stories for You and Your Child

 - Teaching Your Child About Reconciliation

 - Praying With Your Child

On the Sunday after each of these meetings, we will have a special “Bridge Mass” to recognise your child’s journey of preparation towards First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

We encourage you to take the opportunity that this year offers to look once again at the faith that you have passed on to your child, and to consider how you can best help nurture it.
