Descendants of Bernard & Alice Donnelly by Jim Grant from Edinburgh
25. April 2016
I'd love to be able to find descendants of Bernard (Barney) Donnelly and his wife, Alice. Bernard died February 1993 aged 92 and Alice died January 1977 aged 71. They were married in June 1923 and I know they had several children but only know the names of two of them - Bernard (Benny) and Margaret Ann. The family lived in the Castledawson/Magherafelt area in the late 1920s and some probably still live around this area. Hoping someone can put me in touch with some of the descendants.

Looking to see if anyone may have any info on the Taig O'Neill's of Cole Hill, Ballymaguigan. My great grandmother was Margaret O'Neill born in 1890 County Derry Northern Ireland. I don't have any info on her family in Northern Ireland but now through DNA I have connected with a lady that has relations to the "Taig O'Neill Clan" , and hoping this is the break I have been hoping for. I do also know that she left for America in 1907-08 & may have came with a sister Molly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ed Brennan

I am tracing my mothers side of the family who all came from Magherafelt. My own branch of the family went to live in Scotland but there seems to have been a lot of to ing and fr oing between Magherafelt and Glasgow. I have traced a birth certificate for Joseph McKenna who was born in Rainey St in 1880. . His parents were Joseph McKenna and his wife Alice Boyle. Is there anyone out there who can help. Thank You.

McKennas of Magherafelt by Kathleen Sharkey from Glasgow
28. May 2013
Hi there, I have recently embarked on a search for my late mothers family who all came originally from Magherafelt. I am able to go back to Daniel McKenna who married Rose Bradley around 1845. Their son James McKenna who is incidentally my Great Grandfather married Sarah Cochran in 1873 in St Andrews Cathedral Glasgow. I am told Sarah Cochran's family were also from Magherafelt. It would be wonderful if there was someone who is descended from the same family. I live in hope. Kathleen Sharkey
James McWilliams birth/baptism by Maureen Davison from Northumberland, England
27. May 2013
I've been told that my great grandfather James McWilliams was born in Magherafelt. According to UK census info, his age is listed as 40 in 1891 and 48 in 1901 and Free BMD lists his death at 60 in 1915. His birth could be anywhere between 1851-55. If anyone has any information regarding baptism records for this name at that period,or indeed any McWilliams family information I would be very grateful to receive it. Thank you.

James Campbell by liz frost from Glasgow
18. March 2013
I would so appreciate information regarding my G.Grandfather James Campbell who was born in Magherafelt 1850-1851, his parents were James and Mary Campbell. He would have been baptised possibly in either St. Treas or St johns, as they appear to be the earliest catholic churches at that time. Any help in locating his baptismal information would be gratefully received.
